I come in early, help find the idea, then make sure it gets built
BRITs, BAFTAs, League of Legends Worlds, Apple Music
I design and art direct sets for some of the biggest live shows in the world.
I came up through opera, assisting Johan Engels and Paul Brown, where a set has to carry a story and still fly in and out eight times a night. That shaped how I think.
The idea and the engineering are the same conversation, not two stages of one.
Since then I've art directed more than fifty major productions, taking other people's designs from sketch to standing on the floor at 4am. I know what a design costs and where a beautiful idea will quietly fail.
So when I design, the answer arrives already solved.
I work in Rhino 3D and Twinmotion, and still build physical scale models.
